Hanshi Gibson Awarded Hanchidan 8th Dan
The award is in recognition for his dedication and service to Karate and in passing on his
knowledge to others.
Hanshi Gibson has been training and teaching in karate for over 50 years and offers great support
and strong leadership to all within the SAMA Organisation.
He is very proud of his 3 sons, especially Sensei Lee Gibson and Sensei Scott Gibson, both 3rd Dans
who teach within SAMA Organisation.
He
has great respect for his assistant chief instructor Shihan Jacobs and senior instructor Yondan Klus for their many years
of loyalty, and would also like to take this opportunity to thank all SAMA instructors and helpers for
their dedication.
Now 63 years old and still training hard every day in karate and at his
fitness levels, with the Japanese words of "karate student" embroidered
on his belt he
still
sees himself as a humble student of karate with much to learn always continuing on to increase his knowledge of the martial arts. His endurance, stamina and strength is an inspiration
to others and that they too can achieve
things in life if they are willing to endure and work hard at something they love or believe in.
